July 1 - Lima Learning

Hey that´s awesome Will looks super grown up! Have fun in Utah! You could see my former companion there haha.
Our week has been very eventful - President Godfrey ended his mission this week. We got together with him on wednesday to say goodbye. He and Sister Godfrey bore their testimonies and then we went one by one and they said goodbye to each missionary individually. President Godfrey has been for me a great example - someone who reminds me in part of my Dad. It will be hard to forget his influence and example in my life.

As part of that process, we also met our new mission president - President Packard and his wife Hermana Packard! They are from Mckinney, Texas and Mama their parents are temple president and matron so it makes sense thst they know grandpa Robert and grandma Joann (I told him that but he doesn´t know them personally). They are super excited to be starting their mission and are super nice - they also love to sing around the piano so I´m sure we´ll do just fine in this month we have together.

This week we met a nice old man who is 83 years old - one of the members of our ward presented us. He proceeded to talk about how he knows more than the bishop of our church because he knows what material Jesus cross was made out of, also how long the nails were, he also told us about how he knows Satan´s wife (her name is Sarah btw) Elder Monteiro and I spent the whole day smiling after that conversation he is so sincere about it it´s so funny.

This satuday we also had Andy and Alexandra´s baptism! They are following in the steps of their parents and really I´ve seen a change in them. I know the gospel is true and that it brings lasting happiness. I´m really excited for this last month of the mission because there is no time to lose, I have one month to give all of me.
Love you guys!

Also Elder Monteiro got a package of delicous Brazilian sweets this week! Also yes that is a spider and another photo of two members who did divisions with us one day
