Lima Life

Good to talk to you guys last week! Hope everyone`s doing well. Good job on your math quiz Livs. This week has been another one full one and I always end up feeling tired at the end of the day especially because our area is full of hills!! Literally the first time I have felt sore knees at the end of the day from climbing and going down so many staircases. The good part is I`m pretty sure I`ll have legs of steel by the time I get home.

One funny thing we saw the other week was as we were passing by a evangelical church we saw they were showing a video. And the only part of the video I saw was a brief part that said ``Jesus is better than spiderman!`` and Elder Powell and I just start laughing. Now our ongoing joke is that Jesus is better than spiderman.

We have a few new people who we are teaching this week. One of them was a miracle, she came to church because her friend invited her. And then in church she invited us to her house to talk with her 23 year old brother who is going through problems right now. The incredible part about her (Her name is Carmen) is that she told us that two years ago she had an operation for two tumors that appeared on the side of her jaw below her ears. She made it through the therapy and the operation. But now recently another tumor showed up in the same spot. She expressed to us that she is really full of hope and would like to do the best she can with the time she has.

As I see that there are a lot of people that have problems, large and small. I start to realise that God can be the solution to all their problems. As well as in my mission. I receive, and our investigators receive blessings when we exercise faith and act in accordance with God`s commandments. Obedience is the simplist solution to see blessings (D&C 130: 20-21). I know that our family has been blessed through obedience to the gospel. It was because of my parent`s obedience that I was able to receive a testimony and learn to rely more on my Heavenly Father. This week we have met with a lot of recent converts and less-active members and this is what I try to repeat to them. And it was a joy to see two members who hadn`t been to church in a couple months come this Sunday. We are also start to  teach their families who aren`t members.

I love you guys a lot! Here`s some pictures
