Hola Famila!!!!
Happy Birthday Livs, how does it feel to be 15? I hope your exams went well. I also thought Will´s message was a little too well spelt to be Will. But that´s awesome that Willy got a chance to go to the temple and pass the sacrament. He is so big! But it´s a huge blessing. I remember feeling like Will felt when i started passing the sacrament and going to the temple for the first time. For a few months it will be like old times going to Cardston to do baptisms.
We had a great week this week, the zoo was a blast last week with the zone. We got a chance to see monkeys, giraffes, and 14 types of llamas so that was great. We also saw penguins which I was not expecting to see in Lima, it was a good time. Photos included. After that monday we had some energy to start the week.
We saw a couple of miracles this week, the first is that last week we had contacted a man that was walking really fast - I gave him a pass along card with our number and he paused and started to cry - he said, you can rest assured that I will call you. He called us on tuesday to meet in the chapel and told us about his situation that he is getting seperated from his wife and is having a hard time. We taught him lesson 1 and he is really good. It helped me see that the Lord is preparing the hearts of people so that we can at least help them start on a path of change.
The second is that on saturday we were with a less-active member who is reactivating himself, his name is Bryan. He has gone through a huge change. Before the ward told me that he was a little doubtful and didn´t really believe in God. He now wants to serve a misison. He is bringing his MOm to church and he also gave us the reference of his aunt who had listened to the missionaries before. We phoned her on saturday and on a whim I invited her to church not really thinking she would come. She said yes and then on Sunday we are sitting there with Bryan and his Mom and she walks in right before the sacrament! That was a huge surprise. But we talked with her afterward and she said she had a good experience, today we are going to teach her more!
Anyways, Elder Rodriguez is learning a bit more everyday! Me too, it´s funny because when Elder Rodriguez arrived he arrived with all the Chilean words that aren´t the same as the words they use here in Peru. So these past three weeks I´ve been learning to talk like a Chilean. I now know slang words from 5 different south American countries (I don´t use them haha) so maybe that will be good for something after the mission.
I love you guys!
