Lima Life
Hola Familia!!!
Sounds like a great week! Ahhh did you guys make the decision to get kittens? Oh my gosh they are going to be so cute and so much fun. Also love the pics Mama, those Elders look really hipster.
I don´t have a ton of time this week but this week was a little crazy - it started off with a p-day where we went as a zone and rode bikes in a local park! That was a good time, I took some photos. Later on Tuesday we had a normal day working and proselyting.
On Wednesday we had mission leadership council - that was really good we had a chance to learn a lot from President Godfrey on what we need to change as a mission to improve. The Lord has high expectations I have learned, I have a constant need to change and examine what I am doing in order to improve. That is what we are here to do in life, is prepare to meet God. And certainly, one of the things the prophet shared with us is that perfection is not errorless preformance. But instead an increased desire to do as it says in the Book of Omni:´´Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved.´´
I know truely that that is my purpose here, I have many weaknesses, but my joy and my desire is to help out the work of the Lord in any way I can, and let go of my own will in favor of the Lord´s. That means choosing to do things I would not normally choose, stepping out of my own comfort zone. When I do that I have seen blessings come into my life in different ways.
Thursday our experience continued as we had a zone meeting in the morning to talk with the zone about our plan for this month. On friday we had zone conference - which was another outpouring of knowledge and new things to apply in the mission field. We also had the opportunity to see President and Sister Godfrey do a little ´´cooking show´´ to show us quick, healthy snacks we can make in our apartment. Then there were samples which was a good time!
We got our biggest surprise and our best day of the week on Sunday. Sunday we had stake conference, and with a stake that recently added an eleventh ward that means there are a lot of people. Earlier in the week we had contacted an older man with his son who turned out to be the neighbour of a member of the stake presidency. Long story short, we were leaving the chapel as conference ended, we said goodbye to Erika, Yohnny and Milagros, the family that we brought and got the surprise news that the man we had invited actually came! And he was sitting on the front row! We didn´t see him the whole conference but as I was doing a baptismal interview for another companionship that afternoon my companion went with a division to visit him. We are looking forward to working this week with him.
Anyways, love the wedding photos! Hope everyone´s doing super good!
Love you guys,
Here´s some photos from the prophet´s visit, last preparation day, zone conference and some older ones from when we went up a hill on p-day
