Hola Familia!

This week was really good, there´s always a lot of stuff that happens but I´ll try to include it all.

On monday we got together as a district on p-day to take some photos. One thing everyone likes to do here is make t-shirts. We made some that have superheroes on the front it´s pretty sweet.

On Tuesday we had zone conference with President Godfrey, we always have a lot to learn with President Godfrey. We are working on improving our teaching a ton - it´s something really constructive that I feel is going to help our mission a ton. Also a weird experience was that we were practicing teaching, and the companionship we were teaching was my trainer Elder Mendoza. It was like three generations of missionaries right there so pretty cool. Also on Tuesday I was with Elder Segovia and we were going to an appointment. We went and it turns out his aunt who is a member wasn´t home. But while we were there across the street there were a couple teenagers and what looked like one of their moms there. The Mom called us over and told us that we should teach the teenagers because they really need it. It turned out they had a lot of questions that we were able to answer. And there is one that actually seems really interested in the church. That was a small miracle.

On Wednesday I got a surprise when we went to lunch. We ate lunch with a sister who really likes cooking foreign food for the Elders. We ate Ecuatorian food with her a couple weeks ago and when we arrived she told me she was cooking shepherd´s pie and poutine! It was like a Peruvian twist but still super delicious! I thought that was really nice of her. Also in stake conference a couple weeks ago we were sitting beside a sister from another ward who asked us what ward we were from. She told us that her sister lives in our area and would like to listen to the missionaries. On Wednesday we were able to contact her and teach her. Her name is Brigit and she is 15 years old. We are going to visit with her family this week!

On Saturday we had Renzo´s baptism! This was my first baptism that I organized the large majority and I was really relieved to see that it worked out well. Renzo is a ready little guy, kind of reminds me of Will but quieter. He was confirmed on Sunday and it just so happened that Elder Montoya of the Seventy came to our sacrament meeting so we participated in the confirmation with him looking on. Elder Montaya was really good he came and gave a talk about tithing and shared a story about his daughter, how from a young age she always saw her parents and brothers paying tithing and she also wanted to pay tithing even though she didn´t have any increase. But her parents worked making tortilllas and always came home exausted and her daughter would give them massages. So when she wanted to have an increase Elder Montaya told her that she needs to charge her parents for her massages. After meditating for a while she decided and told her Dad that he is very important for her and she loves him a lot, but that she loves the Lord more. From that day forward she charged her parents for massages and every Sunday she paid tithing. A great story. I know that the general and local authorities of the church are definitely called by God. Everyone of the bishops and local leaders in our ward have a great love for the people they serve. I know the same is true for you Dad as well.

We also met a young man this week while we were in divisions named Jeiner, he is a friend of a recent convert and we talked to him a bit outside of his house and invited him to church. And he came! It was super cool, he said he really liked it so I´m excited to keep working with him this week!

Anyways, I love you guys!
