Lima Loaf

I have been super focused this week in working, and really working. To have success I´ve learned definitely requires a fair amount of organization. Here with Elder Chuqui we´ve been looking for people and working with a few. No baptisms this past week but this Saturday is Renzo´s baptism if all goes well.

To answer your question Mama - it´s not actually that cold - only like 15-20 degrees celsius but it feels really cold because of the humidity. We are technically in winter but this is about the coldest it gets so it´s really not too bad. It´s the summer that gets super hot.

Well last week we found and met an inactive couple with their 4 daughters. The oldest is named Ana Cristina and is 18 years old. As we went to teach her this WEdnesday Elder Chuqui and I were explaining the Book of Mormon and asked her if she had read and prayed to know if the book is true. She answered that she didn´t need to pray because she already believed the book is true. That took me a bit by surprise and I thought that that is a ton of faith. But equally she needs to pray to know that it is true. As we invited her I felt prompted to invite her to be baptized with the condition that Heavenly Father answers her prayer. She accepted to prepare for the 28th of July. What a huge blessing it was to be a part of that.

As well our mission president has given us a challenge to improve our teaching. We are reading the Book of Mormon in 90 days, marking it like President Nelson suggested a couple conferences ago with all the references to the Father in blue and the Son in red. As I´ve been starting I´ve been learning a ton and I keep learning more everyday that I always try to share with investigators or members. I can see everyday that the Book of Mormon is indeed the most correct book on this earth. One thing we encounter commonly is that there are a ton of churches here. And many people we talk to have talked to about every other religion there is. In the midst of all the confusion that different churches cause the Book of Mormon clears up everything. It´s a clear message and an evidence that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God.
