Lima LIFE

What´s up? Wow sounds like an awesome week. I never imagined you going to girls camp mama but I´m glad you survived haha. Also that´s super awesome that Coleman got engaged. I´m a little sad that I won´t be there for the wedding but I know, like you guys said that this is the most important place I could be in right now. I have learned so many things until now that I would never have learned and I´m sure that there is still a lot more to learn.

This week has been a little slow, we had a couple interesting things happen. The first was that transfers were this week. I of course am staying with Elder Chuqui to finish his training. The only difference is that Elder Segovia left the ward and now there is Elder Cruz from Honduras. I´m looking forward to finishing Elder Chuqui´s training. It has definitely been a learning experience for the both of us but it´s a really good lesson. One important lesson I am learning with Elder Chuqui is the difference  between being passive and being humble. Being humble involves a lot of acting and relying on the Lord. As well being willing to accept and apply advice and correction from leaders and others. I know the Lord is definitely helping me out, I could not do anything without him.

One interesting part that was kind of nice to see this week is that we decided while we were planning to contact a less-active family who has not been to church in almost a year. We had a chance to visit with the husband and share with him our testimonies. We were in his business in a local market so it was pretty loud but he expressed his sincere desire to come to church with his wife. We made him the invitation and he came for the first time in 8 months to church. That was a little ray of happiness that was super awesome.

This week we also got the chance to receive some training in the mission offices because Elder Chuqui is new. A really good experience there, I also saw a ton of missionaries that I know that are either training or leaders in the mission. As well this Friday we had a ward activity which the idea was basically to represent the 3 degrees of glory in our chapel (which conveniently has 3 floors) and we invited a ton of investigators and members and we had pretty good attendance. I wish I had taken a photo of the Celestial kingdom because it was beautiful. But our investigators that went said it was really fun which was awesome.

This week we also had Josselyn´s baptism! I don´t know if I´ve talked about Maria and Josselyn before but we contacted them because Josselyn started coming to the english classes we teach. We then went to visit them in their home and have been teaching them for the past couple weeks. Josselyn is 12 and Maria is 29. Josselyn has been reading the Book of Mormon and has progressed and accepted our challenge to be baptised. Maria is not ready quite yet but I´m sure with a little more time and the example that Josselyn has set there is bound to be feelings she is feeling,

Anyways, I love you guys a lot! Let me know how it´s going!
