Lima Law

Hola Familia!

Hey mama, first thing I got the shoes, they are super awesome and fit perfectly. I wore them to church on sunday. Also I really like your article in Mormon newsroom Mama. Also that´s super funny about Willy in the friend. I showed it to my companion and he was surprised too.

Wow this week there´s been a lot of good and of lot of stuff going on! To start off last monday we had heard constantly that there is a stable in our area where they sell fresh milk, cheese and yogurt! We were so curious that we had to go see, we also came away with some milk and cheese. Pics lncluded.

Following that this week we received a call that friday morning we needed to go to Miraflores, which is in the centre of Lima to pick up and finish some documents for Elder Chuqui´s visa. Pics also included.

One of the biggest blessings this week was Ana Cristina who was baptized on saturday. She has been progressing well and on friday when we went to visit her and on saturday she told us that she was really nervous. Everything went well in her baptism and we arrived Sunday for her confirmation. When she was sitting in sacrament meeting before her confirmation she turned to me and said that she didn´t feel nervous anymore. A blessing from the spirit that exists in sacrament meeting.

This week I´ve had a chance to think about faith, as a mission we are focused in a different attribute of Christ each month. This week we have been very focused in our faith. One thing I definitely am learning to appreciate more are the tender mercies the Lord brings. Occasionally it is easy as a missionary to say a lot of things but forget that everything I say is also something I need to live in order to say it with power and conviction. And so I have been examining the things we teach as missionaries carefully and trying to apply them in my own life. I definitely am not perfect but I feel that my Heavenly Father is influencing and blessing my own life as I strive to lose it in service to others.

The people here in Lima happen to be people who are very open and very believing in the topic of religion. The only difficulty when it comes to attending church Mama is occasionally we will have a lot of people who commit to come. But when challenges and conflicts arise they are not willing to act or are not prepared and thus are unable to attend church. For us we have not had many people in the chapel these past two weeks. But there are many who are willing to come. And we have a plan to help them arrive by going and picking them up or sending a member to look for them and help bring them to church.

Anyways, tomorrow we are going to go to the temple to help a few recent converts do baptisms. I love you guys a lot!
