Lima Liife

That´s super funny you guys went to the temple on Tuesday because I did too! My companion is finishing his mission and wanted to go to the temple one more time, we went with Elder Segovia and Elder Borst from our ward as well - it was a good experience, however for the first time we experienced the monster that is traffic in Lima - we got on a bus at 6:30 in the morning and arrived at 9:30. But we took a few photos I´ll attach.

This week I went on a work visit with Elder Segovia our district leader - while we were together we talked with Fran - a young man who has been coming to our ward for a couple months. He is really interesting - he lives in Trapiche which is twenty minutes away from the chapel in bus and is in another mission. But he consistently comes to church and the activities in our ward for his girlfriend and other friends. Our bishop and mission president spoke with the stake president in Trapiche and he said if he is more comfortable coming here we can invite him to be baptized. He just needs to get permission from his parents as he is 16 years old still.

We also had Daniella´s baptism this week, it was a good experience, Daniella´s Mom and her extended family are all members - her uncle who is a Bishop from the other side of the mission came to baptize her. The awesome part was that her brother and dad were present as well for the baptism and the confirmation. Daniella was ready and set an example for her family - the funny part is that her uncle as the baptism ended came up to us and said ´´good job Elders, keep visiting the family because there are two more to go!´´ It was a sweet experience that showed me that family is really important and I felt that Daniella had taken a big step for her family.

I love this gospel - I love the talks about sacrifice because right now I have the privilege to be serving with all my time. It makes me want to use the limited time I have here in the mission to serve with all my heart, might, mind and strength. That´s awesome that so many people from the ward are going out on missions, how many plaques are up on the wall outside the bishops office now?

Anyways, I love you guys a lot - we got a message today that Elder Gary E. Stevenson will be coming to Lima to speak with the missionaries in early June! I´m super excited for that.

Love you guys,

I´m not quite sure what order these are in but they include temple photos, photos from Daniella´s baptism, the bones of Peruvian dogs and a mini Book of Mormon I bought in the temple
