Over 1/4 Done! (My title -- not his!!)

Things are good this week! That a really good question Mama, when I feel unmotivated occasionally my companion helps me out by setting an example, but there are definitely times when neither of us are motivated, occasionally we have had a long day or appointments fall through and it makes it hard to get going. In those situations I have found that many times the Lord helps us out by reminding me that I need to change my attitude. For example this week we were walking on the street about 9:30 at night (we go back to our house at 10:00) looking for a reference from the zone leaders and we were knocking on a few doors but had not found the reference. As we were walking back towards our house we passed by a man and I felt in the moment that I should contact him. I started talking to him and it turns out that he lives in Independencia by the mission offices and has siblings who are active members, I had the chance to pass the reference today. I really helped me see that even when I am not feeling motivated the Lord is still preparing people who are ready to hear the gospel. It helps me to see that when I am humble and ready to act and do things that are outside my comfort zone the Lord will be there beside me and my companion.

This week we had another cool experience, Daniel, who is preparing to get baptized, unexpectedly had to leave Lima for work this week, we called him and he told us he would be back on Friday. So on friday we had an appointment at the very tip of our area way up in the hills and after that we had to come back down to the stake centre which is at the other end of our area. As we were getting off the combi we crossed the street and ran into Daniel! We invited him to the stake centre and had a chance to teach him and see how he is doing. He is feeling good for his baptism on the 17th. Afterwards we got a chance to jam on the piano a little bit as well, that was pretty fun.

This week we have also been proselyting with a young man who´s preparing for a mission! His name is Hanz and he is 16 years old. He´s pretty much like a regular teenager - he is the only member is his family and was baptized about four months ago. He is super cool and it´s been fun going with him this week. This week school starts here in Peru so he will have less time, but fun fact! Here people graduate from school at the age of 16 - then you usually go and study in any university. But it´s super common here that a whole family will live in one big house. We are always meeting families who tell us like ´´yeah next door is my brother and his wife and upstairs are my parents´´ it´s good for missionaries because a lot of times we can invite the whole family to participate in a lesson.

Anyways, today we are going to go say bye to a bunch of missionaries who are ending their missions this week, including Elder Vasquez who is in my district. I have also heard that Hermana Dennehy is going home! That´s crazy, I hope everything goes well for her!

I know that the gospel is true and that I belong to the restored church of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the huge privilege I have to serve the people of Peru Lima North, today are transfers so we´ll see if I stay in my area or I go.

I love you guys,
