Lima Love

Hola Familia!

Happy Birthday Dad! I love you!

That´s crazy all that snow! I show people here pictures of the snow in Canada and a lot of them have never seen snow before in their lives, and then when I tell them that it gets to -30 degress celsius in the winter they think I´m crazy, I think the coldest it´s gotten since I´ve been here was like 10 degrees one day in September. I love the photos too! It looks like Will does all the shoveling now haha.

A quick side note is that last p-day we went and played lazertag with all the Elders from our zone, it was pretty fun I didn´t know they had it here.

Also that´s so funny that you mention that I´m getting darker, because I really have no clue! But I definitely have some weird tan lines. It´s been really hot this past week, it´s gotten to like 30 degrees every day man I shower twice a day sometimes because I get so sweaty. But the work goes on equally! We had a really good week this week! I´m getting used to working with Elder Baldovino, something really cool about him is that he used to do street art before his mission, he painted murals with spray paint. He is from Columbia so he has a different accent and uses different words at times. It´s really interesting to see actually.

This week Melissa got baptized! It was really nice, she got baptized on Friday and all the young women including the young women´s president all came to her baptism. She was baptized by her uncle. It was really sweet because after her baptism she got up to bear her testimony and talked about how the missionaries taught her and expressed how she felt the things we taught are true and that this church is true. It is strengthens my testimony of the gospel to be able to see changes like that in Melissa´s life. During my mission I´ve seen many people make this covenant with the Lord and I have seen that after their baptism they are happier and more peaceful. I know that making covenants with the Lord is the way to return to his presence. I know that as I make covenants with the Lord and renew them each Sunday I will be able to find peace in this life. That peace is availible to all.

The past 2 weeks a recent convert family has been bringing their 11 year old nieghbour Larry to church. He stayed for the first hour and then left to play soccer the second and third hour. But this week we arrived early to church with one of our investigators and as we sat down he walked in and sat down next to us. He came to church all on his own and stayed for all three hours! He lives with his mother and his uncle who is an inactive member. He is a good kid.

I hope you guys are doing good!
