Lima Life
Hola familia!
In Peru it´s starting to get warmer yeah, but the funny thing is that a Christmas tradition in Peru is to drink hot chocolate - even though it´s like 25 degrees outside. We haven´t had it much but December is coming. They also eat something called Paneton which is basically Christmas bread.
My Spanish is coming along slowly but surely, there are some people that are harder to understand for me than others, I am always learning new words and working to expand my vocabulary and understand better. I am also learning the names of foods because there are a lot of dishes here that all have distinct names and I find it helps to know them.
We have an investigator this week who accepted our invitation to be baptized this week! His name is Antony and he will be baptized the 9th of December.
This week I went on a companionship exchange with Elder Chicaiza from Ecuador (he´s in one of the photos)
But yeah, I´m sad to hear about Antoinette, she was one of the people that helped me come out on my mission. But I know that serving the Lord here is so important. We went to a mission farewell this week for a ward member named Alexis, to see him go out really confirms to me that I am doing a good thing here in Peru. I love this gospel and I know that it can bless lives.
I love you guys!
