Lima Life Part 7

Hola Familia!

I don´t have much time to write this week but it was a good one!

José, who was baptized last week received the Priesthood yesterday! He and his family are really happy, it´s amazing to see the change that has happened with them.

On Monday we had a zone p-day where we all got together and carved pumpkins! It was awesome, there´s some photos I attached from that. Also in Peru they don´t really celebrate Halloween as much as they do Day of the Dead so we had some trouble getting appointments the 1st of November because people were at the graveyard.

Also this week we had a zone conference on Wednesday, he talked to us about the spirit world and the resurrection, and how we don´t fully understand the significance of the fact that we will all be resurrected one day. It reminded me that having an eternal perspective is always essential. Yo se que vive mi Redentor y pourque el vive, nosotros vamos a vivir otro vez.

I hope everyone is having a good week!

Love you guys,
Elder Thompson

And some photos! From the zone conference, and a selfie with a member who took us out for lunch - he is going to BYU to study film next year. We ate at a Chifa restaurant, which is basically a chinese-Peruvian restaurant and it was delicious. And a selfie from a service project this week featuring Elder Mendoza, Elder Jardine from my MTC group and the back of Elder Laura, our district leader from Huancayo, Peru
