Lima Life
¡Hola Familia!
That´s awesome that everyone´s doing good! Sounds like a fun week!
This week I´m learning a lot about Lima and our area, the highlight of this week is that we went and visited a former investigator named Izabo, she´s seventeen and had been meeting with the missionaries for a while before there was a falling out. But we talked to her and the next day during companionship study she texted us asking what she needed to do to be baptized! She now has a date for the 20th of Octubre. That was so cool to see someone with desires to come unto Christ. it reminded me of why I am here.
And the Spanish is coming along little by little, thhis week we had an appointment with an older lady and I could understand her decently, we were talking and her partner comes home and introduces himself and starts talking to me for a good 20 minutes, I could not understand almost a single thing he said, he was talking about food and who knows what. After the appointment I turned to my companion andtold him and he just started laughing, it was pretty funny.
I´ll make sure to look for that missionary next week at church. Cause that would be a sweet connection. I had my first real Sunday here, it was fasting testimony meeting and was really good, I got a chance to bear my tesimony about the work we are doing here and about Jesus Christ.
Being totally in Spanish is tough, I do study the Book of Mormon is Spanish everyday, but still consult my English ones from time to time. We´ve been getting so much food here as well, like everyday I am so full after lunch, but it´s all good cause the food is usually delicious.
Yo se que el Evangelio es verdadero, I know the the Book of Mormon is true and was translated by the power of God through Joseph Smith (or José Smith) who is a prophet.
Love you guys!
